Nails: Union Jack Step by Step
Abigail Simons, an educator for Louella Belle, shows you how to create this easy and quick Union Jack design, ideal for this week's jubilee celebrations...
You will need the following products - all available from louellabelle.co.uk
- Artistic striping brush ‘Striper'
- Artistic Colour Gloss ‘Hotzy'
- Artistic Colour Gloss ‘Bride'
- Artistic Colour Gloss ‘I Have Connections'
Paint one coat of 'Bride' onto the nail and cure in cure box for 30 seconds.
Decant ‘Hotzy' and ‘I Have Connections' onto a pallet. Using an Artistic striping brush, draw a cross in ‘Hotzy' onto the nail and cure.
The Union Jack flag has eight points. Use the striping brush to create half triangles by drawing the lines between the cross, and cure for 30 seconds.
Using ‘I Have Connections' draw in triangles between the red lines creating the Union Jack. Once happy, cure for 30 seconds in the cure box.
Once you are happy, you can go over the lines with another coat to make these bolder. Cure for 30 seconds in the cure box.
Next, apply glossing gel and cure for 30 seconds to achieve that high shine look.
Remove the inhibition layer with Artistic Nail Surface Cleanser and apply Revive Cuticle Oil to the cuticle, sidewalls, and underside of the free edge.
