Global Wellness Day returns with virtual celebrations
The ninth annual Global Wellness Day (GWD) is returning this weekend with a special 24-hour livestream event.
Taking place on Saturday 13th June, leading wellness professionals, practitioners, experts and trainers from across the globe will join in with the virtual celebrations, showcasing a range of educational and complimentary presentations. These will be made available via Global Wellness Day's YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram platforms.
For 2020, the campaign is embracing the motto: “One day, can change your whole life”. Conversations are set to focus on topics such as mental health, stress, immunity, nutrition, indoor exercises and much more.
Shaped by GWD founder, Belgin Aksoy's belief that wellness is an inherent right of every individual, an international network of volunteer ambassadors now inspire complementary wellness events worldwide.
Last year, more than 150 countries celebrated the day, with over 7,000 locations offering a range of complementary health and wellness activities to the public, including yoga, pilates, workshops relating to nutrition and happiness, as well as therapies on mindfulness and breathing.
