Beauty charity rebrands

The Hairdressers' Charity has announced a rebrand and new name, now being known as The Hair & Beauty Charity.

With a heritage dating back to 1853, the charity aims to continue its help of industry professionals. The new name has been launched to expand visibility, incorporating the full spectrum of hair, barbering and beauty industries, which it already assists.

Relying on support from corporate sponsors including L'Oréal ProfessionalWella ProfessionalsSalon Services, A.S.P and NHF/NBF, the organisation says it is always interested in hearing from further hair and beauty brands wishing to offer support. It adds that fundraising from industry professionals is vital to raise much needed income and to increase awareness.

Philip Sharp, of A.S.P and Co-President of The Hair & Beauty Charity, says that the charity offers financial support to individuals and their families facing difficult times due to unforeseen circumstances such as illness, bereavement and financial hardship.

“Our mission is to help hair and beauty professionals in need. Our beneficiaries are supported with regular payments or one-off grants to make their lives a little easier,” Philip adds.
