2020 FHT Excellence Awards winners announced
The Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT) has announced the winners of this year's FHT Excellence Awards.
First launched 10 years ago, the awards aim to showcase how therapists are making a difference to people living in their local community – from helping clients to improve their health and wellbeing, to providing tailored learning and support to students and qualified therapists.
Under normal circumstances, honours would be presented to the winners in person at an annual conference organised by the FHT. However due to the pandemic, this year's celebrations were conducted remotely, as part of a special online FHT Excellence Awards Presentation.
The FHT Excellence Awards 2020 winners are:
FHT Complementary Therapist of the Year – Mary Atkinson, FFHT
In recognition of the support she has provided thousands of people, across the world, by sharing live Story Massage sessions online throughout the pandemic. (For more information and to watch a short video click here)

Christopher Byrne, FHT's President, commented: “Every year, our judges are overwhelmed not just by the volume of entries we receive for the FHT Excellence Awards, but by the incredible stories behind each nomination, and how our members are helping to make a real difference to the lives of others.
“This year, of course, it has been particularly heart-warming to learn how so many of our members have been finding new ways to connect with their clients and other therapists, at a time when coronavirus has made it difficult or even impossible to provide support in person.
“A warm congratulations to all of our 2020 FHT Excellence Award winners, as well as our finalists, who are all doing incredible work and really helping to shine a spotlight on what excellence looks like in our industry.”
