Manchester spa partners with Wellness for Cancer

Manchester's luxury city centre spa, The Spa at The Midland, has partnered with Wellness for Cancer, a non-profit educational foundation that provides cancer therapy training to spas and wellness facilities.
Wellness for Cancer has specifically trained and certified The Spa at The Midland to provide services for guests who have experienced or who are currently living with cancer. Together they have created a Wellness for Cancer spa experience, totally dedicated to reduce stress and anxiety, nurture and nourish those guests living or recovering from cancer.
As the first spa in Manchester to complete this specialist advanced training, the spa will be linking with local cancer support groups and charities in Manchester, by inviting them to experience a unique introductory tour of the spa, where the new treatments will be available to guests in the city for the first time ever. In addition, those who attend will also meet with Julie Bach, founder of the Wellness for Cancer organisation.
Helena Grzesk, Spa Director at The Spa at The Midland comments: “Treating guests undergoing treatment for cancer or post-treatment has not always been easy yet this is exactly the time when they would benefit most from having a relaxing massage. Wellness for Cancer has enabled us to ensure that all our treatments are safe and relaxing for our clients and we're just delighted that more people will be able to experience them. We want all our clients to feel special and relaxed while they are with us.”
