Two small skin care businesses have been named among the 100 small businesses in the UK to be celebrated by Small Business Saturday, the campaign that culminates in the UK’s dedicated day for small businesses on 3rd December.
The businesses will be among those featured one per day for the 100 days leading up to Small Business Saturday itself.
Etieno Skincare is a natural skin care business, based in North West London, formed by a cancer survivor after life-saving stem cell transplant treatment damaged her skin, hair and nails. Precious Jason, who created Etieno Skincare, developed the company's natural, therapeutic and effective products designed to soothe the side effects of cancer treatment on the skin.
JustBe Botanicals is a small Edinburgh lifestyle business, whose products include award-winning natural skin care and sensory Spa treatments. Founded by clinical Aromatherapist Gail Bryden, products are hand blended in small batches using purely natural ingredients.
This is Small Business Saturday's fourth year, created as a nationwide promotional and marketing tool for small businesses. It is totally free to participate and any small businesses can get involved.
“Although the campaign focuses on one day, the goal is to have a lasting impact on small businesses by changing mind-sets, so that people make it their mission to support small businesses all year round,” explains Campaign Director Michelle Ovens. “Most people in this country own a small business, work for a small business or know somebody who does, so supporting a small business on Small Business Saturday is absolutely personal.”
