Lake District spa hosts UKSA event

Armathwaite Hall Hotel and Spa in Cumbria hosted one of the biggest spa events of the year, the UK Spa Association Spring Networking Event, this April.

Over 100 of the UK's top spa professionals headed to the Lake District spa, including owners, suppliers and consultants, to attend a full day of networking.

Following a welcome talk from Armathwaite Hall's General Manager, Simon Steele (pictured centre), delegates were treated to two inspiring talks. Danielle Alen, General Manager of The Lifehouse Spa in Essex, discussed ‘Dementia in Spa', which covered the specific needs of guests with dementia, whilst renowned food and beverage consultant, Stu Henshall, presented ‘The Alternative Kitchen', highlighting the role of plant-based menus and the growing demand for vegetarian and vegan options in hotels and spas.

The conference area also showcased stands from the event sponsors, including Gerrard International, Germaine du Capuccini and Scrummi Spa, as well as Armathwaite Hall's own spa product partners, Temple Spa, Delilah cosmetics, CND/Sweet Squared and Bespoke Armathwaite.

Carolyn Graves, owner of Armathwaite Hall, commented: “We were extremely honoured to be hosting such a prestigious event here at Armathwaite Hall. To have so many leading spa professionals here was inspiring for all of us, and we were thrilled to be able to show others in the industry our beautiful spa and all of the developments we've been working on.”
