Charity day for Children in Need

Grafton International employees have been doing their bit for a good cause, holding a charity day to raise money for Children in Need.

The event, which took place on November 9th, adopted an animation theme with staff dressing up as their favourite animated character which ranged from Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, to Minnie Mouse, Spiderman and Miss Piggy.

In order to raise funds, a host of activities took place on the day such as Guess the Cartoon, Bake Sale, Hide & Seek and a Silent Auction. A total of £1,350 has been raised so far and counting.

One employee even went the extra mile to raise money for the cause. Kevin Beal loved his teddy bear fancy dress outfit so much that he travelled to work the next day in the costume. Commenting on his journey, Kevin said: “The trip was a little slower than normal. The reaction of people was great! I had many comments from groups of school children of “love you costume”, but also lots of people with no reaction whatsoever which was equally as funny… I didn't know the bears on bikes were so common!”

Speaking of the charity day, Jon Hardwick, Managing Director of Grafton International, said:

“I am overwhelmed with the response we had for our charity day. As well as raising money for a great cause, we all had a great day and everyone dug deep to help smash our target. I'd like to thank all Grafton International staff for their amazing efforts.”
