Habia, the Hair and Beauty Industry Authority, have launched a new ambassador network scheme aimed at Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy departments within further education colleges.
Having worked alongside and supported such institutions for over 30 years, the ambassador network will put colleges directly in touch with Habia. Nominated lecturers will be in regular contact with the organisation, receiving the latest industry news and developments, which can then be reported back to update their teams.
The first annual ambassador event recently took place at the Hilton Hotel in Manchester (pictured), where ambassadors and college heads of departments were treated to talks from such names as Suki Kalirai, Chair of the Institute for Apprenticeships, and Nicola Turner, who gave an update from Habia.
As well as being able to add the role to their CVs, Habia are offering ambassadors and colleges taking part in the scheme a number of additional benefits. These include support to promote the work of their college through the Habia network, as well as a wide range of discounts on Habia products and services.
